I was looking at this one when I went to buy my nikon, I really liked it cause there are options to expand on the lenses, I went with the p500 though cause it fit my budget better, I love it, but wish I had the option to add macro lenses and filters, the 1 v1 specs look pretty good, depending on what you are using it for, and since there is the option to adapt lenses I think you would be happy with it. A lot of what i have found, and this is just my experience, is the cameras settings and features help a lot too, so if there is a lot of room to play with the settings I think It would be good. but lets wait for MarkoD or someone else to jump in on this one for assurance!

Thank you any way. I like it because it's not bulky as canon. I'm just wondering how pictures turn out.

This may give you an idea as to the pictures that come out of the camera, seems to be fairly decent. I personally have no experience with this model.

Seems to me it's squarely in the middle between point-n-shoot cameras and DSLR's. The comment I read somewhere was something like "meant for Facebook photographers who like to take photos but don't consider themselves photographers." Basically it is a point and shoot but you can use different lenses on it.

dpreview.com doesn't seem to have a whole lot on this camera yet. From what I understand the CX sensor is pretty small but the camera offers ISO up to 6400 which I would have thought would mean more noise since presumably the pixels will be very small and thus won't capture as much light as would bigger pixels (the FX sensor is the biggest, basically a 35mm equivalent, but unless you can find a D700 you're looking at $several-thousands ) .. but the pictures I've seen from the V1 seem pretty good to me, so I guess I know nothing in the end, as usual. http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2011/1...-the-nikon-v1/
