Default Pump for bio-pellet reactor

I currently have the Next-Reef SMR1 Bio-pellet reactor and I was using my return pump to power the reactor. I wanted to switch to a dedicated pump for the reactor but I have been having trouble getting the right flow rate through the reactor to make the pellets tumble correctly. I have tried a EHEM 1250 and a Water Blaster HY-2000 both did not give enough flow to tumble to pellets correctly.

I am wondering what people are using for a pump and what flow rates they are using.

I have the MR1 reactor run by a AquaMedic Ocean Runner 2500.

I use a rio 1700 pump for my smr1. good realiable work horse. I have ran rio 1400 and 2500 pumps for over 7 years. The 2500 has been through my fresh water tank to my 72 bow front to now mixing salt in the 50 gallon container, never ever had an issue.
I run my pellets at a decent flow, just enough to tumble all the pellets but not crazy so the bacteria doesn't get washed-off.

It looks like I need a pump around 500-800gph
I am thinking of getting a Eheim Compact 3000 any other pump recommendations?

They also have a 1100 version which is 1100GPH. You could use that with a valve and adjust your flow as needed.

Yes the rubber does help to silence the rigorous pumping but is also great protection as well.
