Default Do you use a lens hood on your macro lens?

As the title states when tanking pictures of your tank with a macro lens, do you use a lens hood?

I usually do but mostly as a brace, I put the hood up against the glass which allows for hand held shots and insures the lens is square with the glass. It's good to use if you have an open top and a suspended light to prevent any unwanted light hitting the lens.

Try it with and without and see what works best for you.

I do and I also use a circular polarizer to adjust the colors and remove glare.
