Default Freshwater storage container cleaning interval/procedure.

Hey, just curious how often and how do you clean your freshwater storage containers? I have one for mixing water changes and one for top off. The one looks to be getting something black ( kinda looks like mould ) around the rim. Dont know how considering its pure water and i kept it covered but maybe somethings still getting in? Either way it needs a clean.

I've noticed that as well in my fresh water top off container. I haven't done anything about it but the other day I did bring my water change container outside to hose out the bottom. I had a lot of calcium deposit buildup in there which may have been leading to further precipitation. One of these days I'll properly go at both of them with the pressure washer but so far I haven't and they've been in use for a few years now. However if I were to make a recommendation, once a year would probably be it.
