small clam hitch hiker, will it survive cycle?

new rock in a new tank. baby clam hitch hiker... whats the chance this thing survives the cycle? is there anything i can do to help with the chance of survival?

A mussel maybe? Should survive, I have a few but dont know where they came from. But mines not a new tank.
