Default Disneys 75G tank Set Up

Ok here we go. We have just finished moving everything into our new place, including the tank! got some help from my dear Reefer buddy and got his opinion on the placement of the tank(Merci!!! ), and now getting ready to start it up. I've had to make 2 appts just for the poor man to come and find us and locate where to put the RO Unit, then from there, I learned I needed a whole in our brand new granite to set up a tap.

Now we've figured out how to get the water into the tank, but still have not found a way to do my water changes easily without putting water everywhere. Part B to this, is that I believe I have everything I need, but not sure how to safely and properly set everything up from the sump to the what water to use. A local reefer has offered to save me the water removed from his next water change, for my tank-to help speed up the cycling of my tank.

I will go through all the posts again, but what steps should I take to set up and start up our tank?

Again will have lots of pictures tonight when we get home.

Take your time and enjoy the build process. It can really be a lot of fun. Take the time to think your ideas through as you will often come up with an alternative approach after sleeping on it. Don't rush and don't set any definite timelines.

Can't wait to see the pictures and what you conne up with.

Have fun!

Small delay in the pictures. Had to have unexpected surgery and ended up in a cast. Forgive my shakiness in the pictures-I was one handed. Forget the mess as well. We are in the middle of moving and still living in boxes.

RO unit being installed in the morning.

Our baby tank.

Had to get a hole made in our lovely counter. Not impressed.

Now this picture is to show you the distance from the sink where the RO unit will be, to the fish tank. Not quite sure how I am going to do water changes easily, and open to suggestions.
