Default Fluval Spec Lighting Upgrade options

Hey Everyone,

So i caved the other day while buying cat food and picked up the Fluval Spec. I haven't started anything yet, but one thing I know im going to need is more light. I don't plan on having much in there expect maybe some Zoo and mushrooms. Anyone know of some good clip on lights that would provide enough light for these?

grab one of those par38/30 bulbs nano-tuners or excotic sell. There is a superbowl sale on this one from BoostLED;

http://www.boostled.com/products/par30-reef-lamps

59.99 if ordered during the first quarter of the super bowl.

I've seen some threads where people are doing a little DIY with a buckpuck and 3 x 3W Cree LED's Would probably work really well.

Yeah sadly i know very little about setting up LED, just looking for something I can either sit behind the tank or clip on top of.

Check with Aqua Digital on here as to whether they plan to sell the light from the Skimz nano separately...it looks like it might do more than the SPEC light.

I put just a desk lamp behind mine (the fluval spec) and put a "zoo med- reef sun" bulb in. I also put 2 little moon led's on top. I ditched the little LED's lamp it came with.

Big Al's has a tank called the IQ3, I've seen the clip on LED light system for it sold seperately at I believe $20-$25.
