Default LED reccomendations for Aquapod 12

Planning on trying out one of the Aquarays that JL has on special...

Any other suggestions?

Looking to improve on the 70w HQI sunpod on there now.

I put Two Reef Brite 15" strips in mine and the fit very nicely in the hood (there is even room for another one)

You could take a look at DIY or at nanotuners to see what they carry for that model.

To clarify...
I dont have a hood, this is the old HQI version with the sunpod and glass top.

So I am looking for an actual fixture here and not a DIY or multiple components.

I would really appreciate a pic of your nano under the reefbrites though...

thanks very kindly for all the input so far canreef, keep it coming please.

I would maybe suggest one of the PAR 38 type bulbs that Oceanic Corals carries. Apparently they just fit into a regular light bulb socket so you would have an immense amount of freedom to find a nice looking commercial pendant to put them in.

If you're looking for a fixture...you might want to look at this one. Hybrid T5HO and LED

cool unit for sure but for a 12 gallon, I prefer all LED to eliminate any heat/evap.

This is the ONLY reason I want to try something other than the tried, tested and true 70W sunpod I have on there now.

Have you thought about looking at fish-street for the Key LED or Maxspect LED systems. There are few Key LED owners on Canreef and I haven't heard any bad things. they are very cost effective...maybe more than the Aquaray stuff.

i did...
i honestly find their website a little tricky to navigate though...lol

It really does seem to be btween the fishstreet fixtures or the aquaray (which is 15% off at JL right now).

thanks for anoter good suggestion.

any others?
