Default Cleaning acrylic tanks

Hi everyone,

I just started a little acrylic nano tank and I am having trouble keeping the algae away. I have a small mag float that is designed for acryllic and these white pads that are okay for acryllic but neither work well. Can I use a plastic blade on acryllic or will it just scratch it?

thanks,

Palmer

You can use a plastic blade, Kent Marine makes a plastic scraper that is save for acrylic. You can also use an old credit card or other plastic card you don't need anymore. A soft brushed tooth brush may also serve useful.
