Default ARM medium coarse media

I just got my Vertex calcium reactor setup and reading seems to be good... 3 days of steady reading on Ca and kH. consistent daytime and nighttime pH reading as well.

pH 8.13 day 7.75 night
kH 8
Ca 440-460.

but, I am wondering, does the media has enough magnesium in it??

if not, should I be starting to does magnesium?

Thanks

I use ARM media, and do not dose Mg. Last time I tested it, it was 1350ppm...

sounds good.

So, I guess it's safe to assume that my reactor is tune for my current tank demand then?

sort of. I'd monitor every other day and see how it progresses. Your Ca uptake will rise exponentially, so what is in tune today may need tweaking next week, at least in the early stages when growth is taking off.

that's what figure as well.. at least I know that I don't have to test the water everyday. I was worrying about magnesium might get low and drop my calcium level.

my reactor tuned so quickly got anything to do with it's control by pH controller??

I have mine set @ ph 7.8(sump) to cut off Co2.

I dose Mg along with the calcium reactor. I just dump some Mg in whenever I feel like it....maybe every other week? Just from the first 6 months of my tank running I knew it used a lot of Mg. I don't test anymore but I just put in some Mg every now and then.
