Default Best shorty skimmer

So i have been shopping around and im kinda confused as to what the best bang for ur buck is for a short skimmer.... i want something that will skim a 150 gallons heavy bio load with ease and has a collection cup that can hold more than a days worth or that will at least have the option of having an external collection cup.

thanks in advance guys

i was out and about today and saw a vertex 100 at redcoral and it looked pretty money ( nice bubble plate etc)... not too sure how big the 150 would be but they vertex 100 is far shorter than my euroreef 80... it does have a bit bigger footprint tho..

I have a Vertex 180 in one of my tanks that I'm pretty happy with thus far...A BK may eventually find it's way in there but costs more bling...can you say "bling" anymore?

The Vertex 180 is hardly a short skimmer at 24.5" tall. I think ScubaSteve23 was looking for something quite a bit shorter, his current skimmer is an Eshopps PSK-200 that is 23" tall.

+1 on the T5000. I have one on my SPS tank and this thing skims like a dream.

hmmm, Rod what are the height measurements on your skimmer? Im thinking that i will redo the sump and make it smaller with room for an inline skimmer...think yours would fit?
