Default nori clip scartching glass?

im noticing where my nori clip is that there is some scartch marks. Anyone else have a nori clip that has scartched the glass?

That must be some hard plastic to scratch glass.
Maybe some sand underneath the clip?

I also have some very minor/faint scratches from my clips. I think it was some grime on the suction. I know wipe it down and wet it prior to putting it in, no new scratches since I started doing that.
