Default UV bulbs

I bought a generic UV sterilizer from the LFS. It ran for a week or so then died.
It turns out that the filament in the bulb is blown.

On ebay, there are a bunch of people selling uv bulbs for curing nail polish.
4 bulbs for $1.

Would these do a similar job as the UV bulbs that the local stores sell for $30 each?

Thanks,
Ross

Good question, I am also curious. Are we sure they would fit the fixture?

From everything I have seen and read the bulbs you are looking at would not work because they are shaded, you can not see the element. This is where I got bulbs for my Coralite 9w uv. Just make sure they have the right socket end on them and they should work.
