Default float valve

I'm going to add a float valve to my ro system soon and I was wondering if anyone has had a float valve fail before. Perhaps some suggestions.
It's going on a vertex 100 gpd with booster pump.

Thanks

Do you have an auto shut off valve to go with it? If you're worried about one failing you could buy a water on the floor alarm as well.
