I would say you should look at the SWC or Bubble Magus skimmers...they have good reviews for the price.

I have a Aqua medic Blue1000 and I'm quite happy with it....not too expensive either. My tank is a 70G with 20G sump.

I would check out the bubble magus NAC7 skimmer. I ran one for a couple months and was very happy with its performance . I only switched skimmers because I was upgrading systems. Im running the larger Bubble magus CS-180 now and loving it. Bubble magus is a good bang for your buck IMO

STAY AWAY from the Seaclone..they are junk, honestly. Any of the others suggested would do 100x's the job that the seaclone would. I am a Euroreef fan but they just don't make them anymore....the Vertex is one I would consider for sure..but the BM would be fantastic!

well my buddy just bought a seaclone rated for 100 gallons. mine's 105 with sump but i know i should get a skimmer rated for at least 1.5x. i've heard bad things about seaclones but would it be better with some modding? i might purchase it from him

They are complete junk and I don't think there is any saving them...mods or otherwise.

I think everyone here will concur.
