Default Sedra KSP-12000

I spent the weekend drilling and re-plumbing my sump so I could run my pump externally only to find that my QuietOne 4000HH has a major leak. The water is coming from the front of the housing and I think it is leaking through the area where the rubber cap on the impeller shaft fits into the housing. I tried sealing it with silicone but it is still leaking. I was thinking of replacing it with a Sedra KSP-12000 and was wondering if anyone had any feedback to provide on this pump, or any other recommendations. I am lifting the water about 11 feet from the sump to the tank.
