Default Wet VS Dry Skimming

What is better i have been skimming more to the wet side as i was told it pulls more. The other day i added some kent marine trace elements and within an hour my skimmer foamed like crazy. Connecting one dot to another tells me that wet skimming could possibly be removing alot of good along with the bad. Or trace elements is crap....either way im going to dry skim for a while and see what happens.

i have always skimmed wet and feel like it does pull more out. You are taking salt water with it so yes you probably pull some good out as well. I also does kent trace and didnt find it effect my skimmer.
