Default FS: Red Sea Ozone Generator

For sale:

Red Sea Ozone Generator
100 mg/hr

I purchased this a couple years ago but never actually used it. It's been sitting around too long so I figure it's time for it to move on. Unfortunately the air dryer has been lost during my move but a new one can be purchased for around $30.

Perfect working condition, costs over $200 new

Will sell for $100 including shipping.

I had one of these for almost a full year, ozone by far is a very good way to remove organics.
I also sold mine for the same price, good luck on the sale, and anyone buying this you will notice great improvments with the ozone.

I still have this and it's not doing me any good just sitting around, make me an offer and get a deal.

Does it still work? I am sure that I could work out a offer with you if I knew it still works. I haven't used Ozone before, so, I need to do some quick reading first.

Send me a message if it is working.

Perhaps someone could save me some research, and point me in two directions. One, how to properly use it (always on? sometimes? ETC) and how to test it? I imagine that there is a way to test what it is doing to the water!

Yes it still works, it has hardly been used.

This should tell you enough to get started
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-03/rhf/index.php

Ozone is primarily used as a water sterilizer and purifier. In simple terms it's like a UV sterilizer.

Basically you should measure ORP if you're going to use ozone in significant amounts, you can just adjust the output manually with a monitor or use a more sophisticated controller which will simply turn the unit on or off as needed.
Alternatively you can also use a small dosing rate and just monitor PH, low pH usually means high ORP while high pH usually means low ORP. This of course isn't very accurate.
