Birdsnest's are not acro's. Every acro crab I have seen has been in an acro. Acro crabs are usually smooth and white with a black strip through their eyes.

upon closer inspection... he has a furry body, including legs (hairs are very difficult to see - same color as the body) but definitely there

Really, I have one that is furry and tan in color living in my large sps colony. He has been there probably about a year, he hangs out. He never leaves that colony and the sps is doing great, nothing wrong with my stuff.

I left him because he doesn't do any harm

Hmmmm!

very hard to tell now (if he is furry or not).... i tried to pull him out to get a good picture... almost impossible with his size and how easily he can move between branches.....
