Default Another Sand Question...

Can I take sand from my established tank and move it into my tank that has a bare bottom and is full of corals/fish?

If I can do I need to rinse it tons or ????

Not really sure what to do...

Lots of phosphate bound up in an old sand bed, especially if it is deep. New sand looks soooo nice.
