Introducing Aquarium Illusions

Hello Everyone!

It's nice to be here as a new sponsor for the forum. Aquarium Illusions has been open in Edmonton for 11 years now so I imagine most of you are familiar with us but I'd like show off the store a bit. We are a family owned and operated business that employs 17 local people.

We've been making a lot of changes lately so if you haven't visited us lately you should drop by an take a look. We have both of our new coral systems running, 16 separate tanks for a total of nearly 1000 gallons.

One of the unique things about Aquarium Illusions is that we quarantine most of our new fish for two weeks before they are offered for sale. There are some things, like Mandarin Gobies or sand sifters that are almost impossible to feed in sterile tanks so they don't go through this process but 95% of the fish from each shipment have been held for fourteen days before they are introduced to our retail systems. We have three independent quarantine systems so fish from different suppliers are never mixed during this period.

We also have an on site coral farm that we use to culture some of the really special items we want to make available to you. This also helps reduce the impact our hobby has on wild reefs so it's very important to us.
