Wow nice set up. I dont see many people keeping triggers with corals, your must be very well behaved.

Love the tusk and that large maroon clown you have in there as well..

I was thinking about a trio of yellow tangs. How do yours get along?

nice tank, I also noticed the trigger with the Coral... I want one of those, but do not want to take the chance with my coral. I do however have a Blue Throat, one of the safer triggers (if you can say that) to have with coral.

Keep up the good work!

im not entirely sure where this trigger and corals a no no came from to be exact... i think imo when people speak of triggers and corals its because they enjoy knocking stuff over and moving it around... i myself have never seen my clown even show the slightest interest in any coral i have had him since febuary and have not seen a single sign of agression yet. i find that not feeding live fish seems to help with toning down the agression.

that being said its still a long way before i can make the statement hes reef safe and compatible with fish.

my set up is a 250 gal tank 7' long 30' high 24' deep with a 100 gal sump. runnin 2 400 watt metal halides and 2 160 watt vho atinics. all my substrate is dolomite and ive got about 350lbs of total rock.

runnin a fuge of about 30gallons, vertex in-280 skimmer, im currently vodka dosing,

tank inhabitant

6" clown trigger
9" panther grouper
9" volitan lion
5" maroon clown
5" hippo tang
3 yellow tangs
1 domino damsel
8" harlequin tusk
about 30 turbo snails and about 50 hermit crabs

too many corals to list.. (the list gets bigger every week)

the stand and everything is all built by me made from oak.

ummm not sure what else!

thanks all for the compliments!

future plans

chevron tang
purple tang
(may sell 2 yellow tangs)
5 green reef chromis
1 more 400 watt light
about 50 more corals
100 or so more crabs
pair or clarki clowns
