Son Agro ballast

Okay, I'm going to the hydrophonics store to see if they can order me in a pair of Son Agro ballasts. But before I go can you give me any more info... or do I just ask for:

430w HPS Son Agro MH? ballast

yup, try get the venture brand as they are cheeper.

The Venture brand also has a higher power factor, drawing less current.

Local hydrophonics store told me 109$ each for the Venture Son Agro 430w HPS ballast w/ ignitor and capacitor. They could have it in by wednesday.

Should I go for it. I've only ever used Iwasaki's over all my reefs and I think I could use a change.

What is the difference between the Venture Son Agro and Iwasaki's? or is there any?

Son Agros are ballasts, Iwasakis are bulbs. So pretty different I'd say

Well, i picked up my ballasts today. Bulbs should be comming soon from J&L. I can't wait. I will post pics of my tank lit with Iwasaki's then Radium's when the bulbs get here.

Come to think of it I think there is a bulb brand name called Venture. Maybe that's why Lofus got confused.

all your major ballast makers make a bulb like also.. venture makes a line of bulbs and there is even a bulb called a son agro for growing er.. house plants

which seams to cause a lot of confusion when looking for a son agro ballst.
