Default more...wicked....frags

What do you think about a canreef auction with a "Buy it Now" function?

Being as I have not sold frags for quite some time, well I have some really nice frags available including another well encrusted sunset monti and several meteor shower cyphastreas.

Thoughts?

That sounds cool, but it would be nice if you gave a heads up when you're posting the frags up each time so that we (I) can be sure to be online.

those are always nice.

also, a site update with some of the new zoas you have would be awesome.

Personally I would prefer to have a site with frags and the asking price listed and be able to purchase at the time or order at a set price for the future delivery if more need to be grown out. That way one can place an order and know what they are getting, you only get the pieces you really want for your set up and the vendor gets full value.
If the vendor is doing auctions to try and increase his gross then a sealed bid system often brings in bids over retain/estimated value.

One thing I've seen on other sites is posts with "Here are fifteen different corals, pick 10 for the price of $xxx.xx including shipping".
I find that with your auctions Dave, I have 1 or 3 pieces already, and it's not worth $400 to pick up doubles. I like options and I prefer not having to sit at my computer at a specific time to try and get them (I prefer 'Buy it now'). At the same time, if you are just trying to drum up a lot of traffic (and business) to your blog and website (which you are) I would use the 'Pick 10' (or 5 or whatever) without the 'buy it now'.

Thanks for the input, I have read it all and will keep this in mind.

I will get some more frags (SPS/LPS/zoas and ricordea) on canreef soon. I do not anticipate a site update for a little while yet. Thanks.
