Your live rock will seed your sand soon enough. Alternatively, you could get a cup from a local reefer. It is also possible that AI would sell you a bit, but they have a flatworm problem right now.

Big Al's had a monster tank crash yesterday, basically lost everything in their fish display tanks. What tanks do they take their live sand from? I think they also have a flatworm problem.

tuxedo urchin
the chain pet store on calgary trail basically due west of big als has cheap tuxedo urchins (or did so two weeks ago)
its the one right next to the bowling alley ps. ai wouldn't sell me a live sand seed because he runs a plenum. that was what i was told.
