Default Has anyone ever thought to...

Has anyone ever thought to use the new blue recycle bins the city gave us for fish purposes instead of recycling? They seem almost perfect. Im not sure if they are food quality grade, I doubt it, but thought I'd ask haha. Its more a pipe dream, Im not actually thinking about it. Just seems so perfect.

I'm in Saskatoon, but I bought a 80L (~20G) blue recycle bin initially to mix water. Since then, though, I've kept it around as my emergency tank. Like when I was scrubbing at some corraline and cracked the glass worked well for the nano.

I thought about using it as a ro water or mixing tank. Holds 50 gallons easy. except I think they put a metal pipe through it to stop people like us.

i have one i bought from rona, exept its black.
Holds 50 gallons and has wheels.
The sides pop out when its full of water but it works perfectly.

Just grab a cheap garden hose bulkhead and put it at the bottom of the plastic bin and you have instant gravity feed to your sump.

We're paying $8/month for those bins if you think about it. Not a good idea to not use it for recycling!

What kind of metal do you think?
Does it has any copper content?

If it is just iron or steel then I will use it for mixing.
