Default Resealed tank, and removed top rim. Is this okay?

Once again, excuse my noob questions.

I have a cube tank that was leaking, so I've stripped and resealed it. I also removed the top rim. I'm really hoping I'll be able to leave it like this.

The dimensions of the tank are:

24Wx24Lx18H

It is 1/2" thick glass.

The bottom of the tank still has the black plastic brace.

On a tank this size do I need any other sort of bracing?

Thanks for your advice!

Jeff

You should have no problems. I've seen tanks around that size in 1/4" glass no brace. Hope this helps.

+1 on that, as long as you let your silicone set for a few days and have done it properly that 1/2 inch glass will last you for years!
