Default Mesh Mod - HELP

Received my mesh mod kit a couple days back.

Followed the instructions from some of the various forums

Install 2 layers of the mesh. Zapped strapped as per pictures.

UNFORTUNATELY, is no longer skimming. Any suggestions of where the problem may be ??

What pump have you meshed and what exactly is (or is not) happening?

Certain pumps react better than others to modding. Sometimes you have to blow into the air tube to get it to start. Another common fix is to trim back the mesh further from the edge. You might have to use fishing line instead of zip ties.

I've got the Sedra 5000 pump with my ASM G4.

After the mod, I'm no longer getting the fine bubbles that I was expecting.

I purchased the PF4 Flatback Enkamat for the pump. I've got 2 layers of the mesh zapped to the impeller.

When I mesh-mod'd my ASM G3, I couldn't visually tell a difference with the bubbles or foam - not at all. It just skimmed better afterwards. I also did air flow measurements before and after and there was no measurable difference. But, after a week or so, it really was evident that it was skimming better...

Where did you get the mesh from and what is in the "kit"?

I have an ASM G3 with Sedra 5000 pump. I have modded just 1 layer of Enkamat but not 2, it skims perfectly with dark dry skimmate. You may also have to check if the air valve is attached well, if not it won't skim.

I got it free from Chin Lee canreefer here, a very nice gentleman but I don't see him in the forum very much anymore.

Oscar, if you want to buy the Enkamat PF4, you can go to ebay I have found one is for sale only $8 with free shipping. It's cheap enough !

Edit : It's only 7 hours left for you to buy before it's gone.

I'm not sure exactly what your saying is wrong.....do you mean that it isn't drawing in air? if so maybe your venturi is plugged?
