Default Bubble King question?

Anybody that has a mini BK 180? could you measure it for me and let me know what the minimum chamber size would be? Im really wanting one, but Im very limited for space in my sump and I really dont want to start removing baffles. Thanks

i have a 160 and my space was a bit small but the skimmer fit, problem i have is where the pump pulls water in is very close to the baffle and restricts flow if i move the skimmer at all, i dont know if the 160 and 180 have the same base size or not but id make shure you have at least an extra couple inches on the 1 side at least,

Here's a thread with some pictures of the mini 160 showing the overall dimensions:

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...&highlight=160

I have mine in a space that is 12" x 11" with a 9" water height. I also have a heater and my 3 return lines in there though so it's a snug fit and as i have crabs mentioned you don't want to have the intake too close to any side of the sump.

If you end up getting a 180 make sure you get a gen 2 with the enlarged volute - some retailers are still selling gen 1 models unfortunately.

Those measurements were taken on a square. If you angle the unit, you might be able to cheat in a little more wiggle room.
