Default is this ok or a prob..

ok i have had a bush coral growing like a mad man and has now started to lose some of the upper branches which float off and are now stuck to the rock at the back and bottom ....is this normal ....both look fine the mother is 8" tall and about 6" wide the frags are about 4" tall ....any thoughts.. thanks

Sounds like it's just fraging itself, should be fine. I know kenya tree coral and xenia do this all the time without any problems, other then you end up with that coral all over the tank.

don't have a camera anymore lost it on a kayak trip ... the pieces growing in the back would be to hard to see in a pic

Can you Google search "soft corals" and see if you can identify what it is? Maybe a Colt or Kenya Tree? If so, that's normal as fishoholic has described.
