Default 10g frag tank

So I have decided it would be fun to make a frag tank with what I have around my place, (except for the pump), which I bought a few days ago.
So here it is, its not finished yet, but pretty close.

Nice, are you using your old fuge lights for the lighting? Also how much do you charge for rental space in it

Nice, I was thinking of a frag tank project maybe 20g or so in the next year but I was thinking of piping it in off my main sump so it can get the benefits from the main system. Also I wouldnt have to test the frag tank params or dose it either seperately from the main system with that setup. Is this a bad idea? I noticed yours is completely segragated from your main system.

Ah yeh that works for sure. Didnt really think about that, it's as close to plumbing into your main system as you can get. Btw where are you getting your new gens from? I reciently put a fiji purp in but it's almost one year on my other bulbs so id like to replace them and I liked the color on your main system so I was thinking about putting a couple of those in

Possibly like:
Aqtinic+
Newgen
Fiji purp
Fiji purp
Newgen
Aqtinic+

I think that would look pretty good I need 54w though

i had picked my new gens from golds, that was the only place that i could find them, RC, has the fiji purples.
IMO, I have found that using actincs kinda fakes the true color of the corals.

under t5;s they look more pastel, and when out of the water they still have that same pastel color.

but when i was running MH, they looked crazy bright greens and all kinds of hues of color to them, but when out of water, they looked brown and really dark. but that just M.O.

yup, no actinics, right now, i am running, this combo

front to back

new gen
fiji p
new gen
new gen
fiji p
new gen

i have thought about the idea of doing actinics, but bailed out, when i started seeing blue;s and purple already coming out in the corals.
