Default new rock

Just aquired a nice piece of rock from a buddy,it's been dead for about 2yrs,just wondering if I should boil it or just scrub it really good before putting it into my tank.

Boiling it would be safest I would think, though I doubt if it's necessary. Though it would water down or remove any toxins in the rock, like copper.

swish it around in vinegar then soak it for 2 days in the water then take it out and use some RO water to clean it off and then stick it in your sump if you can. or you can when you do a water change you can take water out and soak it in there and then put it in your sump....
