I used to live in Ft. Mac but that was before my salty hobby started. They have a small amount of saltly tanks at the pet store up there.

My tanks are in Edmonton but I seem to spend most of my time in the Fort.

To be hounest i am not a fan of the pet store here in fort mac, bad selection and even worse customer service and prices.

i was just wondering if there were many people in the area that kept tanks. i moved up here 3 months ago and just set up a 50g with 20g sump and i was wondering if anyone had anything they wanted to sell. i am also planning an order with JL and i thought i should check and see if anyone wanted in on it.

Sorry not from there, but when you order at this time of year how do the fishy's do?
I found in the past that it didn't go so well, heat packs and all. Just curious! I live in
the Okanagan and don't try to order this late in the season. Cool though about the tank, hey
maybe a new L.F.S. that sells salt stuff might be an idea. Lots of money up there?

i have done an order with ocean aq when i was in nova scotia in mid winter and the fish and corals were fine. i guess it depends how long the transition is from when they are shipped until you start acclimating them. the flight from bc is very short and if i am there to pick them up when they arrive i think they will be fine. atleast, i hope they will be.

We used to live there and did shipments in the winter with no issues.
The idea of a better store would be fabulous and i am sure someone could make some big bucks but unless you can afford the rent on a store i am thinking it will never happen. Hence why there is no costco etc there. Nobody can afford it.

It would be nice to develop a little community of trading and what not.
