Default thought kids soccer was to be cheap

$25 community league membership
$200 x 2 bingo deposit (work or pay)
$190 for soccer itself
$75 deposit for jersey

watching my kid run around in a mob, technically not priceless. Least the wife didn't have triplets.

Sports are sure getting expensive. Maybe the way to look at it is that it could be worse, the kid could be playing hockey in winter and golf in summer

I remember my parents paying $40 each for my brother and I to play hockey when I was a kid. I see some of the bills that the AHL team I work for gets for their gear, scary.

Would that be the Moose? I hope you have a very good team this season, 'cuz the Canucks are gonna need all the help they can get. Did you know Gary Lupul at all? (scout, former Canuck) He was a very good friend of mine; grew up together. Really miss him.

It is the moose. We do have a good crop of returning vets, plus whoever the canucks have signed lately. Unfortunately, our assistant coach resigned yesterday for family reasons, so that puts a bit behind, but we should have a new guy in place for monday.

Can't say I've heard of him. Who does he scout for now?

He passed away last year. Only 48 years old. He was a big favourite with Canuck fans. He grew up here in Powell River, B.C. and worked his way to the pros.
