Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa
Did anyone catch the frontiers of construction on this behemoth of an aquarium the other day?
WOW the main display tank is 7500 cubic meters!! what does that work out to in gallons? they have 3 whale sharks in it, along with 80 other species including a bunch of giant manta rays. this thing is absolutely amazing, and to see all the time, preparation, ingenious architecture and design packed into a 1 hour program was unreal. Ive always wanted to go to Japan, but this has just sealed the deal.
