Default fish together?

a friend might be shutting her tank down, and she has a couple of fish that she asked if i'd like. my question is would 2 blue tangs (both small 3-4") co exist in a 120? what about 2 niger triggers, (again both small 2-3") in a 120.
i know once these fish get bigger they will need bigger homes....

your thoughts

my bet is you'll be left with one of each as a most likely outcome

Try this chart from Live Aquaria. It gives you a bit of a heads up at least

If you added the two tangs and triggers at the same time you might be ok. If you are adding a new tang and trigger to a tank that already has the same tang and trigger in it, you are asking for trouble. Odds are more likely then not that you would have to remove the new fish before the old fish removed them for you.
