Default Mysis

My 33g tank has been running 4 months now (fishless) with only corals in it. Over the last few weeks I have been noticing alot more life in the tank. The other night I saw little orange eyes moving around on the rock, and yesterday in the light I saw that they were mysis shrimp. No idea how they got in there. There are at least 2 of them (saw them side by side).

Will they breed and populate my tank? Hopefully making an additional food source for my future fishies!

Would my skimmer skim out any larvae?

More likely amphipods or copepods and they'll breed away.

Won't worry about the skimmer.

Nope, not pods, have lots of those. These guys are different. Ive seen pics of mysis and they look exactly the same. Almost clear with coloring in upper body. They are very fast, skimming over the sand and rocks like they are flying.

Those are mysid shrimps and are very common in the display tank when placed with live rocks ( I think they came along with the LR ). However, their life cycle is short, may be less than a couple of weeks. If not being eaten by the predators like wrasse, they can regenerate quite quickly and steady.
A perfect live food for the seahorses and pipefish other than amphipods
