Default 29Gal/Sump Add on Idea

Hey everyone i am wondering if this would be a good idea i am looking for ideas and suggestions.

So i am setting up my 29gallon reef tank and i was thinking that i should set up a sump, but i also thought of doing a little DIY to my tank by installing a compartment on the back of the tank like a add on similar to the nano cubes and such, but building something out of class and siliconing it making a refug, a skimmer section and a return pump section.

So that beign said im thinking of attatching the section to the back of my tank and drilling my tank and using it like that so i dont have to get a sump.

What are your thoughts on this? and do you think its a good idea? or what do you suggest?

Hi,
I have a 30 gallon setup with very little occupants but have a sump/refugium under neath. I use CPR 50 overlfow into sump/refugium..works quite nicely.
