Default refugium or overflow ideas

i have a 55 gallon tank. dimensions are 1ft deep, 4ft long, 2ft tall. i want to set up a refugium or overflow. something where i can basically run another tank off the existing system. if someone has ideas how i can do this let me know.

Refugium and overflow two different things. Are you thinking partitioning off part of your display as a refugium, then overflowing into a sump?

Lots of different types of overflows; the tradional overflow box with bottom of tank drilled, an external overflow, HOB, coast to coast etc.

Try searching for some of these to start some ideas.
