Default 2x250w pfo ballast fs

I am reoffering my dual 250W pfo ballast (just a year old) for sale. I have to go down to 175W system as my curcuits are overloading and a visit from my freindly electrician tells me we are maxed out unless we put in bigger panel. Cheaper to go this route. Also included are the old 6500K bulbs (9months old) and also if you want two brand new 6500K bulbs. Price of old bulbs and ballast is $200 OBO. New bulbs are $110 each (I'll pay the tax). Rachel

Rachel, Just a thought.

It might be wise to check the draw on both types of ballasts....as my 250w ballasts end up drawing almost the same amount of electricity as my 400w ballasts.

I would guess you wont be saving yourself anything worthwhile electricity wise.

You might end up having to look to other areas for power savings....like possibly losing the stove and fridge instead .

Rachel,

My lights and ballasts are Hamiltons, I have the complete box with 2x110 VHO and 2x175 MH, I'm using 10K Hamilton bulbs, put new ones in October. I was thinking we could simply trade bulbs and ballast. It would be really great if we had compatible connnectors, so I could just unplug mine and swap with yours when I get back home. I would then just use your Iwasaki bulbs untill I pony up for 10Ks.

I should be comming down on Saturday to pickup a new Mountain Bike for my brother. If your interested let me know, If there is wiring changes I could do it for you on the spot.

Maybe we should email picture of the connector?

Lee, That might have worked, but I sold it to Wendell.

Marc, I have been in contact with pfo and they feel that the 250 W put me over the edge and almost they almost garrantee that the 175W won't be a problem as with the 250W. Guess I'll find out as they gave me a deal to stop me phoning and whining!
