Default Wanted Starter Corals - Edmonton

Hi Everyone, Fairly new to this forum. And just getting my first marine tank establisehd. My wife ad I have had fresh water aquariums for over 10 years and decided to make the move.

The tank has cycled. We currently have a 77gallon tank with 2" sand bed, 100lbs of live rock and a corlite pro 250 filter. For filtration we have two fluval 404's, rena protien skimmer and and have two koralits2 powerheads.

I'm looking for solid beginner corals/frags to buy in the Edmonton area. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Reggie

What are you looking for, SPS, LPS, Soft?

Check the Buy/Sell forums on Caneef, Lando (Joe Reefer here and on CanadaFrags) had nice stuff.

I've got some monti cap, you can have the middle piece from here for $10 (one of the plates came of but included).

Before you start buying corals. What type of lighting are you using?
Corals that are tough to kill
Frogspawn
Candy Canes
Colt Corals
zoos and mushrooms, polyps
Elegans
Bubble

I wouldn't suggest anyone getting an elegance coral unless it is from a fellow reefer and known to be healthy. These corals are very hardy if healthy but healthy specimens are very hard to come by.

I'm Looking Primariy on Hard Corals for now however if there are some easy soft corals I'd consider them too. Biggest thing I'd like to reduce the likleyhood of them dying after a several weeks. I have a coralife 250w pro for lighting.
