Default Bulb break in period?

Is there a bulb break in period before there true color come out? I have changed bulbs a few times and never really noticed this untill now. I bought 2 aqua connect bulbs a few months ago 250W SE 14K and I just finally put them in on Saturday well yesterday I noticed 1 side of my tank is a bright pee yellow and the other side is a nice dark blue. Will it eventually turn blue? or are these cheap bulbs? and they both looked brand new and are stamped accordingly with the proper K on them.....I'm thinking I shoulda stuck with Hamiltons

I love the aquaconnect bulbs. Mine were a nice white/blue right after I put them in, no real break in period on mine.

I know recent articles have debunked the nipple orientation theory, but I have experienced different colors from the same bulbs, ballasts and reflectors before the only difference I could find was the nipple location. just my 2 cents

I had 1 yellow bulb out of 3. It never turned blue, and ended up exchanging it.
Yellow bulb is on the right

Yup, I gave it a few weeks, but it never changed. Every once in a which you get a dud I guess.
