Yeah, they're a great price for HQI, T5s, white and blue LEDs. Basically an all-in-one. I have the Outer Orbit 2x150w over my 50g.

The one thing that is not good with them is the very short and wobby legs. I ended up hanging mine from the ceiling with the provided hanging kit.

Nice. I would have given those serious consideration if they had been available at the time I made my decision.

Nice, that would have saved me some money too. Is there a Canadian supplier?

That's what I'm trying to turn my 6' Aqualight Pro into because I'm not a huge fan of the 96w PC actinics.

What dont you like about the 96 Watt PC atinics?
I just bought a 6ft Aqualight Pro, so im curious to see other's opinions on it.

The only down side i noticed, was the middle hqi bulb is smack above the center brace :S

sorry to jack the thread

I just prefer the look of actinic produced by T5s & VHO. The other thing is power - 4 x 96w is a lot of electricity for actinic, while I plan to retrofit 4 x 55w HO T5 actinics into the hood instead. If my ballast could handle it, I would even go with retrofitting 6' VHO (one Daylight/one Super Actinic).

Don't get me wrong, I really like the Aqualight Pro and with the 14000k Aquaconnect bulbs I got from Hidden Reef (Mike) the LPS dominated reef really stands out & grows well without any actinic. I would just like to change my options for Dawn/Dusk effects to a lower wattage system.

Anthony

End of highjacking & back to the regularly scheduled programming, please

That Outer Orbit light looks like it will do a great job for your application, Skimmin.
