I know what I'll be doing today.

1) Drinking lots of rum!
2) Watching Pirates of the Caribbean
3) Saying Arrr allot
4) Maybe try sailing in my tank (but maybe not since it is only 27 gallons)

This seems like a yearly thing. I love rum (Appleton's to be exact). So I'm happy to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day every year. Apparently it started among a couple of friends in the US. Then got some news paper columnists attention and went off from there.

It IS a yearly thing. I don't know how long it's been going on for, but it's been years since I first heard of it.

okay, so this pirate who has a ships steering wheel in his pants walks into a bar and orders a drink (rum obviously). the barkeep looks at him weird and asks the question. "so... why do you have a ship's wheel in your pants?" and the pirate replies, "arrr, it's drivin' me nuts."
