Default New 90 gal. setup to be

I have a 35 gal. tank that I have had for years and am in the process of setting up a new 90 gal. in the rec room. (built into the wall)

Equipment: (already aquired)
90 gal. tank, built in overflow

RedSea Wavemaker Pro with 4 MaxiJet power heads.
(1-1200, 2-900, 1-600)

A single SEIO M620 power head

2-Eheim Jager 250W heaters

20 gal. SWC sump with built in protien skimmer and refugium.

Mag Drive 7 sump pump

Calcium reactor

Lighting:
PFO 48" retrofit with 2x250W MH and 2-48" 110W VHO
Bulbs are Iwasaki 250W 6500K and URI 48" super actinic R
(want a warmer look than high K MH)
2-fans for cooling

Keeping my eyes open for more possible add-ons like electronic meters and controllers.

Plan on starting off with 120lbs. of sand, 65 lbs. Fiji rock, and 50 lbs. Vanuatu rock. More work to do in the room before I fire things up. Will post picks as things progress.

HI and WELCOME to Canreef. Good to see another from Manitoba here.

If you wish I can move your tank build thread to the Tank Journal forum, so you can continue on posting progress & pics as you go along.

Also, as others mentioned, many of our sponsers carry excellent live rock. Also several local stores or suppliers, in Winnipeg, that have good live rock also.

Thanks. Sounds great. I'll take the offer on the move and I can keep a pictorial record of my system to share with all. I have aleady recieved E-mails about offers of services for stock and supplies. Glad to be here and plan on hanging around.

Default About time

I've been lazy and putting off my transfer from 35 gal. to 90 gal. for some time now. I leak in the back of my 35 made me kick it into gear. Transfered everything to the 90 before I was ready.

Here are pics of wall construction.

Default Holding tank

Here is my quick made holding tank for my live rock shipment due to come early next week. Plan on keeping it in there for a good 4 weeks before I move it into my tank.

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6013706

Has about 200 gal. in it now and has a 2600 gph pump moving water around. This should do the trick.
