Default WebCam my tank

OK what program can I use to watch my tank via webcam? My tank in the basement is right behind my desktop computer and I would like to put a webcam on the computer so I can log in remotely from work to see how my tank's doing.
Any ideas?

You could always check one of those erm... "sites" that has certain people doing interesting things on webcams We won't tell anyone!! ^_^

Seriously though - you can go as basic as using a program such as MSN if you have access at work, or check out these links:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...itywebcam.aspx

http://www.robertwisbey.com/how_to_web_cam_wme.html

http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum23/3851.htm

It's really easy, I can probably help and I work for Corals ^_^

***EDIT - Yikes, TMI. Okay, so I think my first suggestion above might be RIGHT ON TRACK there Mr. Lee.

There's a couple freeware programs out there - basically they aquire a snapshot every set # of seconds, most have a built in FTP program - which connects to your webhost - and uploads the picture (replacing the previous one). Then it's a pretty simple matter of having a webpage that automagically refreshes that picture every few seconds.

It's really not as hard as people make it out to be...

hehe - I like that, "automagically"

I know if I were doing it, I'd want a direct video feed - which would take more bandwidth, but would be SO much cooler. You could get a camera that has a servo and it can pan back and forth - heaven knows you're not going to get the whole shot of your tank in one picture
