im sure they are reef safe, from what i understand they are a bad thing to buy because they only eat one thing so they usualy starve.

Default Buy, do not buy...

You can keep a Lettuce cause they eat algae and are partly photosynthetic. They are not true nudie's but rather sea slugs. The purple nudie will starve in your tank so don't buy them. Also to keep the Lettuce you will need to make sure you have no power heads it can run into and become mush, it happens easily.

I've had both in my tank for over 6 months and doing great. I have 3 maxijet 1200's and 2 of the maxijet 1200 mjmods running and no mush YET. My purple one has just a hint of purple just along the edges, not the one with the tuft on his head. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Richy.........
