Default Schedule 40 & 80 Pipe

Hi:

What is the difference between schedule 40 and 80 pipe. I thing 80 pipe is thicker.

If I use 1 inch schedule 40 pipe , can I assume all other fitting has to be 1 inch i.e. 90' elbow.

Thanks

I think the only time you might run into a problem would be if you were trying to put a sch-80 street ell into sch-40 pipe, or vice versa.
