Default Clowns- Together or apart?

I have heard both sides on the question should false perculas be in a tank with another or more or just alone. I realize these fish can live in smaller tanks. I have a 10 gal with lots of rock work. I feel the clowns may be more comfortable if I have 2 but would there be too little room? Should I go with 1? What does everyone think?

Clowns usually do better in captivity if they have a buddy.

I would definitely go with 2.
Clowns, IMO, are much happier with a partner.
I had one by itself for a long time and it just seemed to mope in the corner.
Just recently I added another one to the tank and the both clowns seem to be out and about more, not nearly as anti-social.
I think you should be fine with 2 in a 10 gallon as long as that is it.
Now you just need something for them to host in.

I have some gsp in the tank. When this grows out they can probably host in it? Also I have a lot of rock work in the 10 I mean like 30 lbs. Will the clowns still be ok in it. They will be the only livestock other than soft corals in the tank.

I don't know if they will host in GSP.
they should be fine in the tank with that much rock...good thing about clownfish is that don't move around much at least.

Ok thanks. By the way do you know where I can pick up some small clowns. Everyone seems to be selling medium sized clowns everywhere

If you come down to Calgary you should check out Golds. They have tons of little ones and at a great price too!
