Default Ocean Pure Salt test

So I've been testing Ocean Pure salt to see haw it stands up. I first started by measureing my usually Kent salt and got these results

Kent (Aug 22)
SG or Salinity:35 or 1.026
Temp 79 -80
PH 8.38
Nitrate NO3: 0.0
Phosphate PO4: 0.00
Calcium CA: 340
Alkalinity ALK: 8dkh or 2.86 meq/l
Magnesium MG: 1290

I then proceeded to increase the amount of Ocean pure each water change by 25% until today were I am now at 100% and here are my results from Ocean Pure

Manufacture: Ocean Pure
Batch number:C-05 12021
Date: 09/17/06

SG or Salinity:35 or 1,026
Temp:79
PH:8.2
Nitrate NO3: 10 mg/l
Phosphate PO4:0.024
Calcium CA: 380
Alkalinity ALK:6.7 dKH or 2.40 Meq/ll
Magnesium MG: 1170

Complete test can be found HERE

I would love if more salts and even more mixes of the same salt can be posted
Thanks
Jason

strange,mine tested much higher mg and alk,but the same ca.I also had some no3 but only .5ppm

New salt=Oceanpure
Fresh mix
ca = 380
alk= 12/4.28
mg = >1400 color changed to dark purple/tinge of blue rather than grey/blue tested 2x
no3= .5

New Salt @24hrs
ca = N/A picked up precip from mixing container tested 2x,first was 500,second no color change.
alk= 11.8/4.23
mg = 1470 definate color change this time
no3= .5

These tests were 2 weeks ago,Ive tested the tank since but not the fresh salt mix.I need a couple new test kits,so maybe next week I'll give it another shot and see what comes up.

Interesting. I have a couple of more mixes left so I will post each time. All of the salt I have is the same batch. Batch number located on the bottom of the bag.

What test kits are you using and have you tried testing the water prior to adding it to your tank?

Those parameters would help out for anyone else who felt like testing their salt.

All of the readings I have posted are in the bucket 24-48 hours after initial mix. These are not in tank readings.

All Tests are Salifert except for PO4 that is D&D MERC Phosphate test.
